Dental Cleanings and Exams
Dental exams are performed at your scheduled hygiene appointments at our Shreveport, LA dental practice. During your appointment, you will receive an oral cancer screening, an examination of tooth decay and existing dental restorations, and an evaluation for gum disease. Dental cleanings differ from your at-home dental routine of brushing and flossing. During your dental cleaning our dental hygienists include:
- Medical History review: Sometimes medication that we are taking has an effect the oral environment. Knowledge of this will allow the Dr.’s to anticipate possible problems and proactively take steps to ensure these problem won’t occur
- Appropriate x-rays will be taken and examined to check for possible dental decay, dental pathology, and position of teeth

- Oral Cancer Screening: Thorough Head and Neck exam to screen for possible signs of oral cancer
- Kids: We have the latest x-ray technology that will allow us to painlessly take x-ray of your kids teeth
- Kids: Complete exam will determine the timing of their erupting permanent teeth and the position of those incoming teeth
