McKenzy K. Boyd, DDS

Dr. McKenzy Boyd is originally from Wasilla, Alaska and ventured to the South after graduating from high school. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from Louisiana State University and then attended dental school at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI, where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After graduation, Dr. Boyd practiced in Mitchell, South Dakota before returning to Louisiana. Dr. Boyd is happy to be back and loves being able to help our patients achieve their oral healthcare goals while providing them with a positive dental experience.

Dr. Boyd is a proud member of the Northwestern Dental Association and is certified in ClearCorrect clear aligner therapy and the surgical placement of dental implants.

Dr. Boyd is an avid LSU Tiger and Saints fan. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, running and spending time with Dr. Jared and their 5 children.

Jared M. Boyd, DDS

Dr. Jared Boyd was born in Shreveport and his family relocated to Wasilla, Alaska when he was in middle school. After high school graduation Dr. Boyd played college football at Tyler Junior College and Mississippi College before transferring to Louisiana State University to get his bachelor’s degree. Dr. Boyd subsequently achieved his Doctor of Dental Sciences degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry.

When not helping patients or raising awareness on the importance of good dental care, Dr. Boyd enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and LSU sports. When asked about his ambitions for the future, Dr. Boyd noted that he wants “to help the community by taking care of their oral health needs and concerns. I am excited to be back in Shreveport and working in the community where I grew up.”

Front Desk

Barbara, Office Manager –  I am married with 2 grown children. I have lived in Shreveport for most of my life.  I started as a dental assistant in  high school at this office.  I met the Boyds in 2011 when they joined the practice as associates. Boyd Family Dentistry began in 2012 and I was given the opportunity to continue working with all of our great patients! My favorite thing to do is spend time with my buds, Sadie, Beau, Ty, Betty, and Mae.

Jan, Office Manager – I am currently relocating to Shreveport from Monroe with 40 + years in the dental field. I love spending time with my 5 grandchildren and going to Zumba classes.

Amy, Insurance Coordinator – My name is Amy. I relocated to Shreveport in 2020 from Wasilla, Alaska where I taught math and coached volleyball for 26 years. I work in the front office at the Line Avenue location. I have known the Boyd family all my life. It is a joy spending time with their children and watching them grow.

Jamie – Hello!! My name is Jamie and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the team at Boyd Family DDS. I was born and raised here in Shreveport, LA and graduated from LSUS back in 2021 for education; however, I have been in dentistry for the last three years. My husband and I currently do not have any kids, but we do have 7 fur babies (crazy, right?). A fun fact about me is that I’ve been playing clarinet in the Shreveport Metropolitan Concert Band since 2017!

Hygiene

Cindy – I live in Haughton with my husband Steve. I have been a dental hygienist for 30+ years. I worked in this office about 15 years ago, before moving to Fort Worth. I am enjoying being back in the Shreveport area and working at Boyd Family Dentistry.

Sharon – My name is Sharon Leethy. My husband, Todd & I have 3 children and enjoy traveling with them sharing many adventures including mountain climbing, camping, and all things outdoors. I’ve been a dental hygienist for Dr. Frank since 1991 and I am so excited to be working with the doctors and staff at Boyd Family Dentistry. Building relationships with our patients and ensuring their optimum oral health is the best part of my job.

Ashley – A little about me! I was born in Stonewall, LA and currently live in Bossier City. I received my degree from Southern University at Shreveport and have been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2015. I am married with one daughter, Addison. I also have two dogs! When not working I enjoy spending all of my time with my little family. We also enjoy going to watch LSU baseball! I am so happy to be part of the Boyd Family Dentistry team! I enjoy caring for patients, helping them learn about the importance of oral health, and getting to know each one of the patients I meet!

Assistant

Janet – I started working as a dental assistant when I was in high school. I have been in this office since 2001. I was excited to join team Boyd when they took over this practice in 2012. I am blessed with 2 grown sons, daughter-in-laws, and 6 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family going to the lake and estate sales.

Chelsea – My name is Chelsea. I have 2 children, Brynnlee and Ellee and been a dental assistant for 10 years. I live in Rodessa on Black Bayou Lake. We love to hunt, fish and doing anything outside. I love being a dental assistant and have been doing it for 3 years.

Bailey – I have been a dental assistant for 3 year. I went to school through Ark-La-Tex Dental Assisting Academy. My husband and I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going mud riding. I have lived in Shreveport my whole life. I am so blessed and excited to be a part of the Boyd team.

Ashley – Hi I’m Ashley. I have been in the dental field since 2014, and joined Boyd Family Dentistry in 2019. I couldn’t ask for a better group to work with, and love getting to be part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients. I was born and raised in Texas and moved to Louisiana in 2018 when I married my amazing husband. We love to travel, ride bikes and all things Disney!

Krystal – Hi I’m Krystal. I have been working for Boyd Family Dentistry for almost a year now. I went to school through Ark-La-Tex Dental Assisting Academy. I was born and raised in Shreveport, LA and now live in Greenwood, LA with my two dogs.

Alexis – I have been employed with Boyd Family Dentistry for the last year and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. My husband and I are originally from Arkansas. We moved here about 3 years ago when my husband was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base. We have two dogs Remi and Wes.
